Description
Inspired by our set dinner menus, our new ‘build your own’ dinner menu focuses on a selection of seasonal products, old classics and new favourite chef dishes for you to choose from and enjoy in your own home. Every dining experience is unique to your taste buds and this is the perfect way to try something new! Select all 3 courses and we will add complimentary Rinkoff’s fine dining rolls with our chef made Smoked Salmon Butter for you to enjoy.
Simply add each course to your basket and we’ll deliver to your home with minimal preparation time. Please note the main courses and side dishes are for two to share. The starters and desserts serve one and one for each person will need to be added to your basket, opt for the same dish or something different, the choice is yours.
To start
- Included in our top 10 most popular products year after year, our Double Baked Cheese Soufflé Suissesse is a dish for home chefs. Made with matured Cheddar cheese, which comes with seasoned cream and grated cheese to serve, this masterpiece is ready to devour in under 10 minutes
- Our Royal Fillet Tartlet has a crisp puff pastry base, is topped with a broad bean crème fraîche and slices of our revered Royal Fillet, which is glazed with a delicate clear tomato gel. Our chefs add some finely sliced cucumber and luxurious caviar to garnish
- An oldie but still a strong customer favourite, our Spoonable Salmon Surprise is a mix of cured and smoked salmon, diced and infused with citrus zest surrounding a hidden chamber of burnt orange confit, topped with mascarpone and Royal Roe, just grab a spoon and tuck in!
- Another top starter is our Lobster Bisque, made from roasted off lobster shells to intensify the flavour, then flambéed in cognac to add a gentle kick. A rich stock is made with the shells, then we add double cream, a touch of tomato purée and butter, sublime.
The Main course
- Our new Duck á l’Orange is a classic main perfect for a restaurant quality meal at home, two duck breasts semi seared with a rich, sweet orange sauce, delicious!
- Beautiful fillets of sustainably caught Red Mullet are marinated in heady saffron, olive oil and confit garlic. A showstopper on the plate.
- Roast Poussin Done Two Ways is a dish good enough to eat night after night. Done two ways: whole, with a sage and onion sausage meat stuffing, and also part-boned, with an apricot and thyme sausage meat stuffing. (Roasted Root Vegetables pictured not included)
- to confirm Individual Vegetable Coulibiac or Artichoke & Wild Mushroom en Croute
To accompany
- Our Roasted Root Vegetables are a vibrant accompaniment to your chosen dinner menu. Chunky parsnips, carrots, red onion, garlic, rosemary and thyme, ready to re-heat in a handy wooden tray.
- Ever noticed how restaurant mash is so much better than home-made? Chefs like our own Lloyd Hardwick have a few tricks up their sleeves to produce something so sublimely smooth, our Velvety Herb Mash is a winner.
- Potato Dauphinoise is layers of thinly sliced potatoes baked in a luxurious whipping cream mixture. They’re seasoned with salt, pepper and garlic and make the perfect side dish. Crispy potatoes and silky cream sound like a match made in heaven to us!
- Our homemade Polenta Chips are a great alternative to potato chips, handmade by our talented chefs.
The dessert
- Tarte Tatin is a French classic made in our kitchen with soft, juicy English apples and handmade puff pastry. It’s ready to eat cold or cook through to produce a restaurant quality glaze.
- Valrhona Chocolate & Salted Caramel Pot is a perfectly gooey after dinner treat made with a Valrhona chocolate cookie crumb base and a salted caramel parfait core topped with peanut brittle.
- Our individual Mrs Forman’s Cheesecake Pot is cunningly packed in a glass jar to serve one, same recipe as our larger cheesecake, ready to devour.
- Our Syrup Sponge Pudding is a show stopping dessert, a classic sponge that cooks in its own iconic tin, genius.
To compliment
- Balfour Manor produce some of the finest English red wines, this wine is rich, ripe and structured.
- Biddenden Ortega is a must try, fresh aromas of green apple, grapefruit and cut grass. Crisp and fruity, delicious with seafood.
- Bolney Lychgate Rosé is an expressive wine with stylish and intense summer fruit puddings flavours, raspberries, pomegranate and bursting with the zing of sherbet fountains
- Balfour Leslie’s Reserve is one of our best-loved wines. Made using the classic trio of chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier grapes, this sparkling wine can truly compete against any of the top champagne houses.
